Getting to
OAA by Bus & Walking
We have put this FAQ together to help you get to OAA via public transportation. The routes start at the Transfer Center in Downtown so you may need to adjust your route if you’re not starting Downtown. You can use Google Maps to plan your route or visit the Mountain Line website for other options.
#7 Bus Route
Getting to 715 Ronan St. from the Downtown Transfer Center
Here are the directions from the Downtown Transfer Center to 715 Ronan St. using only the Route 7 bus and walking:
1. Boarding Route 7 at Downtown Transfer Center
From the Downtown Transfer Center, board the Mountain Line Route 7 bus heading towards “Southgate Mall via Russell”.
2. Exiting at South and Higgins
Ride the bus for about 10 minutes until you reach the South and Higgins stop.
Walking Directions from South and Higgins to 715 Ronan St.
3. Initial Walk on Higgins Ave.
Exit the bus at the South and Higgins stop and walk south on Higgins Ave. for about 400 feet until you reach the intersection of Higgins Ave. and South Ave.
4. Continue on South Ave.
Turn left onto South Ave. and walk east for about 350 feet until you reach the intersection of South Ave. and Pattee St.
5. Turn onto Pattee St.
Turn right onto Pattee St. and walk south for about 450 feet until you reach the intersection of Pattee St. and Ronan St.
6. Arrive at 715 Ronan St.
Turn left onto Ronan St. and walk east for about 150 feet until you reach your destination at 715 Ronan St.
Check the Schedule Before You Go
That should get you to 715 Ronan St. from the Downtown Transfer Center using only the Route 7 bus and walking. Be sure to check the Missoula Mountain Line bus schedule and map to verify the bus times and stops before heading out.
#9 Bus Route
Accessing 715 Ronan St. via Public Transit
Unfortunately, the Mountain Line Route 9 bus does not have a stop within walking distance to 715 Ronan St. Therefore, it is not possible to take only the Route 9 bus and walk to reach 715 Ronan St. from the Downtown Transfer Center.
Combining Routes for Your Destination
However, you can take the Route 7 bus from the Downtown Transfer Center and transfer to the Route 9 bus at a different stop to get closer to your destination. Here are the directions:
Step-by-Step Guide: Transfer from Route 7 to Route 9
1. Boarding at Downtown Transfer Center
From the Downtown Transfer Center, board the Mountain Line Route 7 bus heading towards “Southgate Mall via Russell”.
2. Transfer to Route 9
Ride the bus for about 20 minutes until you reach the stop at Russell and South. At the Russell and South stop, transfer to the Mountain Line Route 9 bus heading towards “Target”.
3. Arriving at Stephens and Inez
Ride the Route 9 bus for about 7 minutes until you reach the stop at Stephens and Inez.
4. Final Walking Directions to 715 Ronan St.
Exit the bus at the Stephens and Inez stop and walk east on Stephens Ave. for about 600 feet until you reach the intersection of Stephens Ave. and Ronan St. Turn left onto Ronan St. and walk north for about 200 feet until you reach your destination at 715 Ronan St.

The distance from the Downtown Transfer Center to 715 Ronan St. is approximately 1.5 miles.
Here are the walking directions:
1. Start Your Journey at Ryman St.
From the Downtown Transfer Center, head north on Ryman St.
2. Proceed on Broadway St.
Turn left onto Broadway St. and continue walking west for about 0.5 miles until you reach Orange St.
3. Turn onto Orange St.
Turn right onto Orange St. and continue walking north for about 0.5 miles until you reach South Ave.
4. Navigate through South Ave.
Turn left onto South Ave. and continue walking west for about 0.4 miles until you reach Pattee St.
5. Head North on Pattee St.
Turn right onto Pattee St. and continue walking north for about 0.4 miles until you reach Ronan St.
6. Arrival at 715 Ronan St.
Turn left onto Ronan St. and walk west for about 150 feet until you reach your destination at 715 Ronan St.
Considerations for the Walking Route
That should get you to 715 Ronan St. from the Downtown Transfer Center by walking. However, keep in mind that this route is approximately a 30-minute walk and may not be the most efficient way to get to your destination. If you prefer to take public transportation, you can check the Missoula Mountain Line bus schedule and map to determine the closest bus stop and route to your destination.
