Finance Coordinator

Open Aid Alliance is seeking a dedicated and self-directed Finance Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for nonprofit work and a strong background in finance and accounting or business.

Job Desciption

A Finance Coordinator is a professional responsible for managing and overseeing the financial transactions and operations within an organization. This role typically involves tasks such as budgeting, accounting, auditing, financial planning, and reporting. The Finance Coordinator ensures that financial activities are conducted in accordance with organizational policies and regulations, and they often work closely with other departments to support financial decision-making processes. This position requires strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in financial software and tools.

Salary: $54,000 – $60,000 annually (depending on experience)

Location:  Missoula, MT preferred, but remote will be considered

Core Responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Executive Director and program directors to compile accurate invoices for reimbursement to ensure timely payment.
  • Prepare budgets and participate in collaborative forecasting as requested.
  • Reconcile monthly transactions and maintain accurate records in QuickBooks.
  • Work with the Director of Operations to ensure accurate and timely payroll processing twice a month.
  • Monitor cash flow and financial performance, identifying areas for improvement and work with Programs to implement solutions.
  • Oversee financial reporting and compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Provide financial analysis and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
  • Pull and transmit documents as required for audits to our 3rd party auditing firm
